+ Administering power to arrest and procedures
+ Escalation & de-escalation techniques in the use of force
+ Restraint techniques & implications
+ Criminal and civil liability
+ Responsibilities
+ Mindset and situational awareness
+ Observation and report writing
+ Relationship with local Police
Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) & Terrorism Awareness (4 Hours):
+ The Role of a Security Officer
+ The Nature of Terrorism
+ Weapons of Mass Destruction
+ Identifying and reporting precursor activities to a terrorist event
+ Proper reaction
+ Coordinating and sharing of critical information
+ Interacting with Police
+ Remaining safe while helping control the scene after a terrorist event
Upon completion of this course, you will need to submit an application to BSIS.
Renewals:
A security guard registration expires the day after the expiration date on the card. Each license holder will need 8 hours of training each year to retain their guard card.
