Carbine Night Operations

This course teaches the student to effectively utilize a carbine in low light conditions, and incorporates the tactical use of a flashlight and other lighting methods. The night shoot teaches various target identification and sighting techniques specific to limited visibility. The student reinforces the day class instruction and learns additional skills while under the cover of darkness. Previous Carbine training is required. Upon completion of the course, the student should be proficient with:

+ Handling the gun
+ Marksmanship
+ Use of weapon in low light and night with movement
+ Ammunition management
+ Precision shooting at night from various distances
+ Weapon Retention
+ Close quarters conflict
+ Transition Drills (pistol to carbine, carbine to pistol)
+ House Clearing Techniques
+ NightVision/ I.R. Sighting Devices

Equipment: (Equipment can be provided, upon request in advance)

+ Carbine with sling
+ Eye and ear protection
+ Knee and elbow pads
+ Hand held or weapon mounted flashlight
+ Two magazines for carbine (or low capacity equivalent)
+ Pistol and holster
+ Hat
+ 300 rounds carbine ammo (no steel core, armor piercing or SS109/M855 US)
+ 50 rounds handgun ammo. for transition drills
+ Sack lunch
