NRA Instructor courses are discipline specific. Candidates are required to satisfactorily complete eight (8) hours on the NRA Basic Pistol Course previous to attending the rifle course, and demonstrate solid and safe firearms handling skills.
This course is at least ten-hours long and includes classroom and range time learning how to shoot rifles at moving targets. Students learn NRA's rules for safe gun handling, rifle parts and operation, etc. Role-playing is a major part of an instructor course. Students will be working in teams, actually conducting portions of the course to other students.

+ Flashlight
+ 150 rounds ammunition for rifle
+ Pen and Paper
