Advanced Pistol & Low-Light

The course teaches the student how to effectively and safely utilize a pistol or revolver. This class reinforces the General Handgun Course. It will increase accuracy, test combat shooting skills while moving, shooting and engaging multiple targets.

Course Curriculum:

Handling the gun

Marksmanship

Drawing from a holster in a tactical and rapid manner

Malfunction drills (instinctively assessing and rapidly correcting problems with the handgun)

Various firing positions and actions for each

Shooting on the move

Increasing target distances out to 50yrds

Running engagement courses

Scenario shooting

Action shooting

Engaging multiple targets at conversational distances and beyond

Mindset of situational awareness and mental conditioning as applied to handgun use


Prerequisites:

General Handgun; or

Ladies Pistol (2 Day)

Equipment: (Handgun can be provided at no additional cost, upon request in advance)



Eye and ear protection

Clear eye protection for low light portion of the class

Handgun and Holster

Magazine or speedloader pouch

2 spare magazines or 2 speed loaders

Belt

Shirt with sleeves

Flashlight

Hat

300 rounds of ammunition minimum (ammo available for sale w/ advance notice)

Warm Jacket (optional)

Bug Spray (optional)

Sack Lunch (optional)
