This course teaches the student how to effectively and safely utilize a shotgun. This class reinforces the General Shotgun course. Upon completion of this course, the student should be proficient with:
+ Fundamentals of shooting a shotgun
+ Ammunition selection and management
+ Engaging multiple targets
+ Shooting from a barricade
+ Increased distances
+ Slug shooting
+ Various firing positions and actions for each
+ Running engagement courses
+ Introduction to "Specialty Ammunition"
+ Close Quarters Conflict
+ Sling use, mounting from a slung position
Prerequisites:
+ General Shotgun
Equipment: (Equipment can be provided, upon request in advance)
+ Eye and ear protection
+ Service/duty type shotgun with sling
+ Ammo pouch (to carry loose ammo on your body)
+ Handgun (for transition drills)
Ammunition:
+ 200 rounds birdshot
+ 25 rounds buckshot
+ 35 rounds slug
+ 50 rounds of pistol
*****We will break for a one hour lunch. You can bring your own food or leave the range and eat somewhere local*****
